In Division II where the title is the closest to being one, Newton Abbot Pacers edge towards the title with a professional display against Exmouth Knights – but they didn’t have the match all their own way!
Pacers also beat Exeter University III and put a dent in their title contention in Division III by doing so – but they won’t have given up on it yet, and showed that by beating Torquay Trailblazers who had two defeats this week, but with their injury ravaged side they are showing their determination to finish the season in the Play Off spots.
Taunton Tornados are chasing Newton Abbot Pacers all the way but playing catch up with their games after late entry into Exeter & District could have played a part – but as a first season they have been impressive in finding their feet.
The match of the week came in the Ladies Division where a top of the table clash saw Exeter Spartans meet Taunton Tornados, a match that was won on the buzzer by 1 point, with a 3………. from Exeter Spartans to finish the week on top of the table with one game to go against one of their rivals for the title – Plymouth City Patriots!
